How fit is calculated
FitGarage compares the rectangles you configure with the interior you measure. It does not publish a universal minimum garage size.
Physical fit
A vehicle is inside when its active footprint lies on the interior floor. The active width is the width basis you can see: body, mirrors out, or folded mirrors. Changing the basis changes the rectangle. Overlap with another footprint is reported as overlap. Missing height means height clearance is not assessed, even if a body is drawn so the plan can be viewed.
Desired access space
Access zones are extra space you ask for beside or beyond the footprint. A clear zone means that requested rectangle is empty. It does not mean a door can open or that a person can walk out.
Parked fit and maneuvering
A parked result is the stopped footprint. Manual driving is a separate low-speed check. When wheelbase and overhangs are not in the source, driving uses estimated parameters and keeps the Estimated label. Driving is not a certified maneuverability assessment.
Illustrative rectangle
Some pages show a parked rectangle made from the selected width and length plus 0.30 m at each side and each end. That margin is stated so the number can be traced. It is not a recommendation and it does not include the path into the space.
Pictures and numbers
A 3D model, including any preview mesh, is a picture. The fit uses the configured dimensions. A page does not borrow a mesh from an unrelated vehicle, and a mesh bounding box is not treated as a specification.
